I stole a spoon from the hostel this morning. The receptionist was not a nice person and my breakfast required I have a spoon.. so I picnicked by the river and enjoyed my muesli.
A full day of riding alongside the Moselle river, mostly gentle and flat, but for this reason I’m trying to cover a reasonable distance. Stopped at the cute town of Cochem for lunch and also to check it out. They had a castle on a hill so I left the bike chained at the bottom and hiked up, only to find you need a guided tour to get inside, and I just wanted to have a look around.. so hiked back down again and kept on riding.
Found a family run Pension to stay at in Ediger-Eller, the owner spoke English which made things easier. After cleaning and unpacking, had a quick nap to let the afternoon heat die down and then down to the river to play with the drone a little. Laws are restrictive in Germany so I’ve got to take the chance when possible.
A nice glass of wine with dinner because we’re in wine country now 🙂
